Whinging works it would seem, as only a couple of weeks ago I was writing about the newly introduced hashtag functionality and remarked how it was lacking any search functionality. Well it seems the feature was in the pipeline and it has now been released.
Head over to Instagram.com, log in and you’ll see the newly added search box within the sites header.
Now rather than being a simple input box which returns your results, the search autocompletes with suggested hashtags, along with the addition of suggested users which is pretty handy. The hashtag results connect up to pages previously mentioned in my last Instagram post with the user results taking you directly to a users profile.
Functionality which is very handy and currently found within the native mobile applications, which has been lacking from its online service.
Have a whirl and let us know what you think, or if you come across any other handy features I may of missed.
