When the UK’s largest motorway service station provider approached us, they were a huge, nationally recognisable brand, but their social media following didn’t reflect this. They needed an agency that could find creative ways of growing them across social, without the channels becoming purely customer service tools.
We launched the #MotoWAHEY campaign; encouraging users to socially share their ‘wahey’ moments they experienced at Moto, from caffeine fixes to toilet relief. We teamed up with a number of national brands such Krispy Kreme and Costa Coffee to launch competitions to increase the reach of the Moto brand. This was supported by social advertising that targeted key user groups across multiple platforms.
It worked! The #MotoWAHEY campaign has helped us increase followings across all accounts. In the first 12 month period, accounts grew massively, with over 400% growth on Facebook, almost 300% on Twitter on almost 500% on Instagram!
